With a Youth Card, you can travel more than you think, for less than you expect

With a Youth Card, you can travel more than you think, for less than you expect. It works like a commuter card: you pay a fixed low price and can travel freely by bus and train between your home and your place of education, as well as throughout your local area. In addition, you receive discounts on bus and train travel in the rest of the country.

The Youth Card is available digitally in the Rejsebillet app or as a physical Rejsekort, giving you access to the same price and discount benefits that young travellers get with Rejsekort.

You can get a Youth Card if you are between 16 and 19 years old, or if you attend an upper secondary or higher education programme. If you do not meet the requirements for a Youth Card, a commuter card or a Rejsekort may be a good solution for you.

                                    How to order

### Purchase and renew your card online

To order a Youth Card, you must first be approved by your educational institution:

You apply for approval at www.ungdomskort.dk.

Once you are approved, you order the card at https://www.mitungdomskort.dk.

Here, you can later order new periods, make changes to your orders, and request a replacement card.

The Youth Card is available as a Rejsekort, with a delivery time of 10 working days, or in the Rejsebillet app.

You must use MitID when ordering.

### Are you a student?

If you attend an upper secondary education program or a higher education program, you must be approved by your educational institution before you can order a Youth Card.
If the approval is missing, you must contact your educational institution.

When you are approved for a Youth Card, you can continue with the actual ordering process.

### Are you 16–19 years old but not in education?

In this case, you do not need to obtain approval and can proceed directly to ordering.

###

                                    What does it cost

### There are different prices for a Youth Card.

Students in upper secondary education receive the highest discount.

A Youth Card has a fixed daily price. The price is adjusted annually and differs for young people in upper secondary education, young people in higher education, and those not enrolled in any education.
The price is always calculated based on the current daily rate.

You pay for every day the card is valid, including weekends and public holidays.

You can get a Youth Card if you cross the Danish border as part of your daily travel to and from your place of education.
If you study in Germany, you must meet the general requirements for the Youth Card, and your education abroad must be approved for SU by the foreign education unit of the Danish Agency for Institutions and Educational Grants.

If you live in Flensburg and study in Denmark, you can also apply for a Youth Card.

### Moving

Always report your change of address to the National Register.
We automatically retrieve your address from the CPR register.
If you need a new Youth Card in the weeks around your move, you can register your upcoming address during the approval process at https://www.ungdomskort.dk.

### Changing school

If you change your educational institution, you must be approved again at https://www.ungdomskort.dk.

After that, you must order a new Youth Card at https://www.mitungdomskort.dk.

If you have previously had a Youth Card, you can see under the tab “Your Youth Cards” whether the new periods will be added to your existing card.
Always check the Rejsekort number for the ordered period at https://www.mitungdomskort.dk.

If you notify us at least 14 days before you change educational institution, you can receive a Youth Card that is valid from the day you start at your new school.

### Take good care of your Youth Card

Your card needs to last for several years, as new periods are ordered and activated electronically on the same card.

## Free Plustur

If the bus doesn’t run the entire way, you can book a free Plustur from the stop all the way to your final destination — or the other way around.
